Jordan Valley Park, Clear Water Bay Road, Kowloon.
Temperature: 18 ⁰C, but felt like 13 ⁰C. Windy, with mist and continuous dense tiny raindrops from all directions.
The park was on the top of a hill, with a large flat grass field and rare visitors. High-rising buildings and construction sites were far from sight but so close on hearing: machines, traffic, sirens of ambulances... after 15 minutes of struggling with the environment and the urban soundscape at far, I felt more at ease and in connection to the surrounding nature closest to me: birds, wind, trees, raindrops...although from time to time I had to recollect myself against the challenge from the weather. An ever-changing transition between outer and inner self. I tuned in my voice with the birds and the movement of air. Suddenly, a bird stopped me. I remained silent, nature dominating. I needed a bit of warmth, and yes, my tiny tungsten light bulb… In the middle of that cool windy hill top, and the city at far.
